  Characteristics of Akasaka

  Akasaka is well-known as the location of TBS, akasaka Sacas and the Akasaka Estate.
  For some people, Hikawa Shrine, Hie Shrine, Nogi Shrine and Toyokawa Inari may spring to mind.
  Akasaka is slightly to the south of the center of Minato Ward.
  To the east is the Nagatacho area of Chiyoda Ward, and to the south is the Roppongi area. Akasaka is characterized by its proximity to the financial centers of both the central government offices and the busy downtown district.

  The Akasaka Estate (Togu Palace) fronts National Route 246 and has abundant greenery. Many people like to jog around this area. Not far from the Akasaka Estate can be found the Meiji Kinenkan and Akasaka Palace, creating a tranquil space filled with greenery and nostalgic vistas even in the middle of the city.
